As you’re all aware, the COVID-19 pandemic means an unprecedented amount of disruptions into peoples lives. Many of our running events are affected by the outbreak and will not take place as scheduled. The decision has been made based on the Government advice and Health Officials to prevent the virus from spreading.
The London Marathon was planned to take place on Sunday 26th April 2020 is now postponed until Sunday 4th October 2020. The 40th Race will still take place, but for elite runners only. Our charity runners have the option to participate in the virtual Marathon, on the same day to keep the marathon spirit alive and continue to raise vital funds for your wish children.
What are your options?
London Marathon have advised us that our charity places will be redistributed over the next three years (3rd October 2021, 24th April 2022 and 23rd April 2023). In mid-September, the event organisers will inform us how they are allocating our charity spaces over the next three years. We ask for your patience and support and will keep you updated when we have further information.
If you hold a Ballot place for the 2020 Virgin Money London Marathon, the event organisers will email you on the 1st September to outline your options.
