Past Fundraising Events

London Marathon - 21st April 2013

Thank you to our team of 45 runners who took to the streets of London with thousands of other runners on Sunday 21st April 2013, to raise funds for charity.

The charity had the great pleasure of meeting many of our runners in Greenwich Park on the way to the start line to drop by for a quick chat, a photo and to wish them the very best of luck for their 26 mile challenge!

Once we cheered our runners off from the start line, the charity moved to mile 17/18 at Heron Quays just outside the DLR station and waited in anticipation of our first RTCW runner to come through.  We managed to get some great photos of our runners as they passed by and we gave our best efforts to cheer and shout in support!

A few hours on, and we moved to mile 25.5 right opposite Big Ben to show our support and to give one final morale boost on the home straight.  We again were lucky enough to catch some of you run past and get some photos of you, moments before completing this amazing challenge!

I just wanted to say, on behalf of myself, the charity and all the children and their families, thank you so much for your hard work training and all the fundraising you have been doing to help us grant wishes for some inspirational young children suffering from life-threatening illnesses.

Great South Run - 28th October 2012

Thank you so much to all of our Great South Runners who pounded the streets of Portsmouth to raise funds for the charity on 28th October.  We were lucky enough to meet some of you who came along to the charity meet point before and after the run and we cheered you on from mile 5/6 of the course waving our blue sail banner to those Children's Wish runners we saw!

For those of you we didnt have a chance to catch up with, please do send through any photos you have from the day - as we would really love to see them and create a little gallery of you all.

Thank you so much for running and raising funds for all the children and families we help!  Your support is so appreciated and we hope you can join us again next year!

Great North Run - 16th September 2012

A big well done and congratulations to our team of Great North Runners who completed the half marathon on 16th September!

The weather was a bit wet and windy, but you all battled on through to raise funds for our charity!  Your support is so appreciated and the monies you have raised will help us continue the work we do in making many wonderful wishes come true.

A big thank you to Kevin Allars who is a great supporter of ours and who went along to represent Children's Wish on the day!

British London 10k Run - 8th July 2012

Thank you so much to our fabulous group of runners who got very wet running through the streets of London in the pouring rain to raise funds for Children's Wish!

Even though the weather wasn't fantastic, this didn't dampen the spirits of our runners as they still managed to get pretty decent times by the end of the run!

We have many children waiting for their wishes to be made reality and the monies you have raised and are collecting in really will help us make a difference to many young lives all over the country.

Great Manchester Run - 20th May 2012

A massive well done and thank you to all our Great Manchester Runners who took part in this 10k Run to raise funds for the charity!

Around £3000 have been raised so far from the team which really makes such a difference, as we have many wishes waiting to be granted this year.

One of our runners, Joanne Dutton ran for Round Table Children's Wish in support of the work that we do, because we granted a wish for her daughter Rosie to go to Disneyland Paris a couple of years ago.  Joanne wanted to run to help more children like Rosie have wonderful wishes too!  It is great to have your support, Joanne!

Thank you to all our runners for their fantastic support.  I hope you all had a brilliant day and that we may see you all again for a run in the future!
