Would
you like to introduce a child who may benefit from having a Wish
granted?
RTCW has certain guidelines to adhere to -
- A
child must be between the ages of 3-17 and yet have the understanding
of at least a 3 year old, as well as be suffering from a life-threatening
illness.
- A child must live in Great Britain or the Republic of Ireland.
- A
child should not have had, nor be going to have, a Wish granted
by another Wish granting charity or organisation. After all, there
is a huge number of children who have not had the benefit of any
Wish being granted to them.
Anyone
can refer a child -
- This
can be done quite simply by contacting the office for an informal
and confidential discussion.
- There
is a simple application process which must be completed by parents/guardians.
- The
Wish request must be that of the child, and not what the family
would like their child to receive.
The
Charity does not receive any financial support from the government.
The Charity relies entirely upon donations and fundraising events
organised by its supporters, many of whom are members of the Round
Table and Ladies' Circle Associations throughout Britain and Ireland.
All Wishes are arranged, and paid for, by the Charity, although
where specific local fund raising is being, or has already been,
carried out, the Charity expects to receive the proceeds to help
meet the cost of the Wish.
If you would like to refer a child, please fill out our Referral
Form.
