Dreaming about taking on the challenge of a lifetime?

If you would like to see a bit of the world whilst supporting a great cause, please get in touch! We will help you find the challenge that is right for you. We will do all the research to find out what your challenge will entail, the day to day itinerary and give you details on the fundraising requirements you will need to raise.

The charity will give you lots of support and advice to help with raising your minimum sponsorship and will supply a Fundraising Pack and t-shirt for your challenge.  We are also very happy to provide any promotional fundraising materials for any events you hold to raise your sponsorship funds.

Tour of Tuscany Cycle, Italy – 6 Day Challenge

Date: 29 Sept – 4 Oct 2019

Tuscany is renowned for its scenery: layers of green hills stretch towards the horizon, covered in olive groves and centuries-old vineyards. This beautiful landscape is dotted with fascinating medieval hilltop towns, crumbling castles and terracotta-roofed villas. The rolling cypress-lined roads are a cyclist’s dream, with fresh views around every bend.

You will be setting off from Pisa, home of the legendary leaning tower, and you will see the iconic Renaissance cities of Florence and Siena as well as wonderful Tuscan hilltop towns.

Northern Lights Winter Trek, Iceland  – 5 Day Challenge

Dates: 13-17 March 2019 or 1-5 Nov 2019

You will discover some simply stunning scenery on this fantastic trekking challenge in southern Iceland.  You will see geothermal valleysNorthern Lights and beautiful mountain scenery, streams and waterfalls.

Iceland lies on the edge of the Arctic Circle and is home to some of Europe’s greatest wild landscapes. A land of incredible contrast and natural beauty, its wild volcanic landscapes, mountains, glaciers, hot springs, geysers and waterfalls, combined with its rich history, literature and folklore make it a fascinating country to explore.

Staying in huts miles from the nearest big towns, the dark skies offer a great chance of seeing the spectacular Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) and you will get to watch each evening – the icing on the cake on this memorable challenge!

Croatia Multi-Activity Adventure, Croatia – 7 Day Challenge 

Dates: 5-11 May 2019 or 13-19 Oct 2019

The Dalmatian coast of Croatia, with its many Adriatic islands, is known for its beautiful scenery. Rugged mountains, lush hills dotted withcroatia vineyards and olive groves, and crystal-clear water provide an adventure playground with an appealing Mediterranean climate – this is a wonderful challenge destination for all seasons.

This adventurous multi-activity week will take you from Split across to the islands of Solta and Brač for some scenic cycling, then back to the mainland to hike among Krka National Park’s stunning karst landscapes and waterfalls, and a trek to Dalmatia’s highest peak. You will end with a fun, exhilarating day of white-water rafting. All activities are achievable for beginners with no particular experience, providing a good level of training is undertaken.

Staying in hotels in picturesque towns, there is plenty of time to discover the local culture and relax after your adventures – a perfect croatia1combination!

Cornish Coastal Challenge, UK –  3 Day Challenge

Dates: 31 May – 2 June 2019 or 20 – 22 Sept 2019

This beautiful weekend trek follows the dramatic coastline of North Cornwall. The landscapes are spectacular, with rugged cliffs, hidden Cornwall
coves and old fishing villages forming a beautiful backdrop to the blue sea.

Starting at Trevose Head, west of Padstow, you will walk for 22 hilly miles to St Agnes Head – a challenging distance considering the terrain. You will pass the well-known beach stacks of Bedruthan Steps, as well as old reminders of Cornwall’s mining heritage, while Poldark fans will recognise some key filming locations, such as Holywell Bay, with the much-filmed Gull Rocks off-shore.

This is a tough weekend challenge, but a spectacular and inspiring experience which will give you an unforgettable sense of achievement!

Grand Canyon to Las Vegas Cycle, USA – 8 Day Challenge

Date: 9th – 16th March 2019

At 277 miles long, 18 miles wide and in places one mile deep, the Grand Canyon is a breath-taking sight. Celebrating 100 years of the Grand canyon cycle Grand Canyon1National Parks Service in 2016, the Grand Canyon and its surroundings offer wonderful cycling and a memorable challenge!

This exciting ride offers fabulous views not just of the Grand Canyon, but the colourful desert, rocky gorges and forested plateaus around it. Passing historic towns on the iconic Route 66, this is a fascinating ride with some challenging climbs and fabulous long descents, culminating on the famous Sunset strip in Las Vegas.

Coastal Freedom Trail, France and Spain – 6 Day Challenge

Dates: 2-7 April 2019 or 15-20 Oct 2019

This beautiful trek along the Vermillion coast of the Costa Brava follows in part the Coastal Freedom Trail or ‘Chemin de la Liberté’, one of coastal freedom trailthe WW2 escape routes from Nazi-occupied France into Spain. Local people risked their lives to help the thousands of allied servicemen and Jewish refugees fleeing to safety on tiny paths to the border crossing, and from there into Spain or Portugal, or via the British ships and submarines that would wait offshore.

The trek offers a huge variety of scenery as you follow the coast initially, before heading inland to cross the border via the Col de Rumplissa, where you will see the route in full, winding its way along the beautiful, remote coastline to the stunning Cap de Creus, where you will finish at the spectacularly-situated lighthouse. This is an incredible trek with a poignant undertone – a personal challenge which commemorates the bravery of others.

London to Nice Cycle, UK & France, Switzerland – 15 Day Challenge

Dates: 24 July – 7 Aug 2019 or 4-18 Sept 2019

Setting off from London, you will pass through picturesque Kent countryside, cross the Channel anlondon to nice1d continue through the small villages and medieval market towns of Northern France to Paris and the evocative landmark of the Eiffel Tower. After a day to rest, you will head through rolling fields of wheat and sunflowers, and the famous vineyards around Chablis. The landscape is dotted with small medieval towns and sleepy villages, and the rolling hills provide the perfect preparation for the hair-pin bends of the Col de la Faucille (1323m) – a climb in the Jura mountains that has featured many times in the Tour de France. A wonderful descent takes you into Switzerland and down to beautiful lakeside Geneva. Another rest day sees you raring to go! You will set off through the Alps to Provence, riding through beautiful scenery of towering mountain peaks, spectacular limestone cliffs and gorges, dense forests and lavender fields. With long, challenging days in the saddle, the magnificence of the landscape motivates you to keep pedalling! This unforgettable ride ends with a fabulous descent from the hills through the Gorge du Loup to Nice and the beach, where you will have time to relax and appreciate your huge achievement.
