This wish video demonstrates what Round Table Children’s Wish does, the array of wishes we grant and the difference these wishes make to the children and families we support.
William was only 6 years old when he was diagnosed with a rare brain tumour. During his treatment at Southampton Hospital he was referred to us to have a wish.
He had one wish – to have a trip in the snow! We arranged a very special trip for William and his family to Lapland.
They had a truly magical time and created memories that would last. Sadly not long after returning William passed away.
William’s mum, Sue Da Silva tells us about their experience and why the wish meant so much to William and the family.
Indi Meets Twenty Twenty
On Saturday 4th July, 2015 something amazing happened in Tamworth, Staffordshire.
‘The Biggest Wish’ was the most ambitious project in the recent history of Round Table, The aim was to bring together Round Table & Round Table Children’s Wish, the charity that we founded and bears our name, in a national event that captured both the hearts and minds of our communities, providing a day to remember for more than 100 children and their families.
‘The Biggest Wish’ was a national event put together by the members of Round Table, the largest voluntary mens’ organisation in the world. Every Table will was given the chance to nominate a family from their community with a child aged between 4 and 17 years who is suffering from or has recovered from a life-threatening illness. The chosen families spent the day at Drayton Manor Theme Park, along with their Table’s nominated ‘Wishmaker’.
